Are You Choosing The Right Clients?
I’ve been talking to my own clients this week about the difficulties of working with challenging clients.
I don’t mean that my own clients are challenging and that I’ve been telling them off for it 😂 I mean talking about the difference between those draining, demanding, moaning customers who bleed you dry; versus the right clients who challenge you in a really good way to deliver your very best work.
Because there’s always loads of conversation about your ‘ideal clients’ and the benefits of being really specific about them so you attract lots more of those lovely amazing creatures – “the right clients!”. There’s a lot less conversation though about what to do when you find yourself saddled with a bunch of duffers who sap your energy and steal your mojo. The wrong clients!!
So, I’d love to tell you that this week’s vlog is all about how to handle your energy-vampire clients. But it’s not. I’ve realised as I’m writing this email thought that that would be a perfect vlog subject so watch this space, and I’ll focus on that in a few weeks’ time.
For this week though, my focus is much more around the reasons you should get specific about your perfect clients.
It’s not just bout connecting in your marketing and resonating with your content.
And it’s not just about being able to write scintillating content directed specifically at that single person so they shout “Oh my God, were you inside my head when you wrote that?”
It’s also about being able to build a business that revolves around clients who challenge, educate and inspire you. And I mean who challenge you positively by pushing you to do your best work, to upgrade your own skills, and to step up and be a business leader.
Those are the kind of clients who help YOU to do better and be better. The right clients!
A business filled with amazing customers like that will fill your days with positivity and growth, rather than queries, complaints and questioning yourself about why you have to work with duffers!
So, please take a look at this week’s video.
It’s a different spin on the relevance of getting really specific about who you want to work with, so you can build the kind of business that rewards and fulfils you, on both a mental and a financial level.
Rather than one that exhausts, frustrates and stifles you!
So please, watch the video and let me know if it triggers any thoughts or ideas for you about the right clients.
And of course, if I spark an idea that you need help to implement, take a look at the different ways I could support you here: https://taylory.co.uk/how-i-can-support/
