Mastermind vs Business Coach
I’ve just bitten the bullet and joined a new group coaching programme / Mastermind group with Sarah White.
It’s the first time I’ve joined anything like this in about 4 years and I have to be honest, my last experience could be classed as ‘anti-climactic’ at best! A big-name coach with big name pricing and a very well-known programme. You probably couldn’t call it a Mastermind because it was biiiiig, and in my opinion Mastermind groups should be fairly small.
It was totally over-rated and over-hyped though. Classic ‘all style and no substance’ kind of thing!
If I’m honest I’m generally pretty sceptical about the value of Mastermind groups versus the value of 1-to-1 coaching. I’ve been involved in 1 great one and 1 serious let-down, and I’ve watched a LOT of my clients and my networks join programmes, quickly fall behind and then give up. And waste their money as a result. ðŸ˜
I haven’t run my own coaching group for a couple of years now and the thing that puts me off is that sooner or later everyone gets left behind. Almost nobody ever stays on track and stays the course, and for me personally I have a real issue with anyone paying me for support and not being able to get value for that investment.
But I’m not everyone am I? (I mean I’m pretty amazing but my opinion isn’t the only one! 🤣)
I know some people are far more drawn to a group environment for their business development than to the intensity of 1-to-1 support, so I thought, this week, I’d share my personal pros and cons of each style of business support, plus some advice on how to make the choice for yourself, so you can be confident you’ll see an ROI.
So here’s a video with the ins and outs of Masterminds Versus 1-to-1 Business Coaching.Â
I’d love to hear about your own experiences too – have you been part of a group programme that you loved and got tonnes of value from? Or have you wasted a fortune on something that turned out to be a mahoosive let down? 😟
