Ready To Scale?
I’m going all in this week with the business buzzword bingo – let’s talk about ‘scaling’.
Barely a day goes by when we don’t see advice about how to scale on social media, or read the super-successful-scaling-stories of the new bazillionaires of LinkedIn! 😴
Let’s not get dragged into all that cynicism though (even though it’s very therapeutic to have a right good bitch every so often!)
The simple truth is that 95% of us DO want to scale our businesses. But I also happen to know that about 80% of you are secretly terrified that trying to scale might just be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. For both your own sanity, and the reliability of your business.
What if the existing chaos that you keep papering over just multiples as you grow?
What if those little cracks you’re still getting around to sealing up turn into mahoosive caverns?
What if it’s just all too much?
Well guess what growth exposes cracks.
It’s true!
If your systems are messy now, then more clients, a bigger team, and more complexity will only make things messier.
But it doesn’t have to be like that. (Hallelujah I hear you cry!!)
Because the secret to scaling smoothly isn’t about working harder—it’s about having the right systems and processes in place so you’re not reinventing the wheel every time.
When it comes to processes small things really do make a massive difference. Things like:
- A simple onboarding checklist for new clients
- Managing your diary properly so you book in everything important including follow ups and proposals
- A straightforward system to save all your best content so you’re not starting from scratch EVERY time
When you put the right systems in place, your business becomes more scalable—AND less reliant on you. Processes, clear responsibilities and standardised handover documents are your foundations for growth.

I’ll let you into a secret. Most of my clients resist the idea of systems and processes at first – because they haven’t got the time, or because their business is too small for processes, or they don’t want to be boxed in, or it just feels too much like faff. Soooo many reasons!
But once they finally embrace the idea, I can tell you that every single time without fail they kick themselves for not starting sooner and wonder how they ever coped with winging it all so much!
