Or do they give you long-winded, technical answers that you don’t really understand, but you feel too embarrassed to mention that to them?
I hear things like this soooo often and it drives me nuts!
I can honestly say that the moment you feel like you really understand and have got proper control over your business’ finances is the moment you’ll stop feeling out of your depth and out of control!
And so much of that comes down to your relationship with your accountant.
Far too many accountants think it’s enough to complete all the right returns by all the right deadline, tell you how much to pay the tax man and then send you a big bill.
But that’s not enough!
Your accountant should be a real partner for growth. A sounding board. A source of great financial advice, challenge and information.
Which is why I talked in this vlog about the importance of your relationship with your accountant, and how that relationship should work if they’re doing the best job for you they can.
