What’s Your Legacy?
I’m almost done for Christmas and ready for some top notch R & R!
Just before I go though, I wanted to share something intriguing. I always start my Planning Workshops with a discussion about a quirky area of business. It’s a great way to get people’s creative ideas flowing and encourage conversation so that people get involved in the day and support each other with feedback and suggestions throughout the day.
The supportive environment is one of my favourite things about these days, and I know some people keep booking in because they want to come back and find out how everybody else is getting on with their plans.
It’s an interesting challenge to find a theme for the day that I think will be relevant and thought provoking for everybody there, but it’s a challenge I really enjoy.
The theme 2 weeks ago was ‘What’s Your Legacy?’ I challenged people to consider what kind of legacy they would absolutely love to create with their business, and I have to say that it really got people thinking deeply about their purpose and their impact.
The discussions were really interesting, so I felt inspired to share this theme with you and prompt you to think about what legacy means to you.
Now it might seem like this is a quirky question, that doesn’t really have much bearing on your business plans, but actually it’s really significant. It’s the foundation that you build everything upon. It’s your purpose, your vision and the reason behind your business.
Your legacy doesn’t have to start after you’re gone either. You create your legacy every single day through every life you touch and every client you serve. Your legacy quantifies your value, your impact and your influence.
Having clarity on your purpose and the legacy you want to create helps you make the right decisions about the clients that you work with and the products or services that you develop.
It really underpins every key decision in your business.
I’ve explained more in this video so please watch it and think about what this concept means to you, so that you can start 2025 with real clarity of purpose and a determination to impact even more lives than you have in 2024.
And, of course, if you love this idea but you’re not share where to start with it, then I’d love to help. message me through www.taylory.co.uk and let’s arrange a chinwag.
