Year-End Review
I’ve probably already mentioned this a bazillion times, but I love it when my clients book a holiday. 😎
When you’re in the thick of things it’s so hard to take the time out to review what’s going well, identify the stuff that’s just wasting your time and stealing your energy, and pin down which of your 8 billion new ideas is the one that would really make all the difference.
I could try and tell you that the power of a year-end review is why I’m just back from Tenerife. But actually, I went because I find winter drab and dark and I bloody love a bit of winter sunshine to perk me up!
You won’t be surprised to know that I didn’t write this in Tenerife because holidays are for holidaying and recharging and for avoiding work as much as humanly possible.
I wrote this before I went to allow me the privilege of properly switching off for a week.
There’s no question though that there will have been times while I was lying on my sunbed that I naturally reflected on my year in business and found some clarity about this year and next that I just wouldn’t capture sitting at my desk.
I’m a massive believer in the power of reflection. I think without it there’s a real danger that we keep hurtling on with things that aren’t really working, or don’t really serve us.
I believe that every great plan starts with a review of what’s currently working and what needs changing. Otherwise, we’re all just winging it!
And logically, there’s no better time to do this than a lovely year-end review. It’s almost inevitable that you’ll reflect on your year as it comes to a close. But having a clearer structure for that year-end review, and understanding what you absolutely want to gain from it makes the difference between a casual ponder and some juicy strategic thinking.
So, yes, you’ve already guessed it – this week’s vlog is all about how to go through your own year-end review in a way that brings you clarity, confidence and structure for your New Year plans.Â
I’ll show you how to identify all your best wins and achievements for the year – and you’ll have forgotten most of them and be taking them for granted by this stage!
And then I’ll walk you through how to pin down all the business lessons you’ve learnt this year, and work out how to use those next year to help you constantly evolve and improve.
If you want to make more money and feel like business is easier next year, this one is for you!
And of course if you want to turn all the great wins and lessons into a clear strategy get in touch because this is exactly what I can help you with.
