Simple Price
I don’t know about you, but when I’m planning to buy something, I love it to be really easy.
I hate those websites that make you jump through hoops to find out basic information about the price or about how to buy. Frankly, I’m just too lazy to do the work to find that stuff out for myself! 😤
I’m so lazy that if I can’t see any info about the price, I’ll probably just go elsewhere. (And if you give me one of those 9 mile long landing pages that I have to scroll down 3 million times then you can just bog right off!)
Of course, I could make excuses about my time being INCREDIBLY precious or about CONSTANTLY being too busy, but the truth is that most of the time, I’m just a lazy buyer.
But I’m not alone in that am I?
In this generation of instant gratification and wanting everything now, now, now patience is rarer than pandas isn’t it?
So, with that in mind …
If I headed over to your website today would I be able to find really clear information about your prices and your packages?
Or are you holding that back because you’d rather take some time to work out a beautifully bespoke price for me? Or would you want to go even further and send me a meaty proposal?
And when you send out those lovely proposals how often do you then end up chasing your tail, waiting for somebody to condescend to find 2 whole minutes to have the courtesy to reply? And then chunnering under your breath for weeks because the ungrateful so-and-so’s still haven’t replied? What a waste of everyone’s time!
You can get around soooo many of these obstacles by having clear, fixed pricing.
So that you’re able at any moment to tell somebody what you offer and how much you charge. Which helps them make a beautifully easy decision to just crack on and buy. And that, right there, will help you bring in more sales.
It’s easy to think that everything should be personalised, detailed and documented. Or to think that every customer is different, so they all need a special individual price. (Honestly – they aren’t and they don’t!)
Defining some clear packages with fixed prices can feel like a mammoth task, but it’s one of those things that’s (almost) never as hard as you think. And once you’ve cracked it you’ll make life easier for yourself and your customer, and more importantly you’ll make lots more lovely sales.
There’s more detail about why this is so important and 2 key strategies to help you work through it for your own business in this week’s video so please take 5 minutes to watch and then make a plan for your own business so you can bring in more awesome clients.
