Do You Need A Business Coach?
When I first started working with ‘Betty’ (name changed to protect the innocent!) she had huge ambitions for her business. She’d always been successful in her career, and she really wanted to step up now to bigger and better things. Global domination would be a doddle!
But once she started her own business, she was constantly second-guessing herself, in a way that she never had when she worked for someone else. She had loads of ideas but couldn’t decide which one she should do first, so she felt stuck most of the time.
And she wasn’t sure whether to be bold and honest about her ambitions or whether that would make people judge her and not want to work with her, so she was really holding herself back.
She was hesitant about working with a Business Coach because she’d already spoken to a couple and found them underwhelming to say the least. A lot of fluff and very little substance! She’d spoken to a couple of marketers too because she wasn’t sure how a coach would actually help her, and thought that she might be better to just crack on with lots of marketing instead.
Fortunately for Betty, that’s when she found me! 😃
Because what Betty really needed most at that moment in time was clarity, and that’s one of the first things I help every Business Coaching client with.
The irony that the other coaches she’d spoken to couldn’t even give Betty clarity about how they could help her was definitely not lost on me!
Without clarity it’s incredibly difficult to make decisions about the direction of your business. You need clarity about your goals – are you aiming for big hairy audacious achievements, or quiet success with a bit less effort? And you need clarity about your products and services, your customers, your pricing (because I bet you’re still too cheap!). The beauty of clarity is that it creates momentum. Because decisions are easier to make, and actions are easier to take. (I feel a poetry prize coming on here! 🤣)
So, in the spirit of clarity, this week’s business tips video talks specifically about how a Business Coach can help you, and the long-lasting benefits you can expect to see. Because a good business coach will help you achieve better results AND help you develop solid business skills and knowledge that will last you a lifetime.
So please take a look. If the video makes you think that it’s about time you hired yourself a great coach, send me a message and let’s arrange a conversation.
