New Business Strategy – Take A Break!
At my planning day a couple of weeks ago, one of my clients confessed to feeling really tired and low on energy at the moment. She’s taken very little time off this year and she’s running on empty.
Which means she was finding it much harder than normal to get excited about her business strategy for the next few months.
And, I should add, that she’s usually someone with loads of energy and positivity so this was really not like her.
So, let’s chuck in a couple of blatantly obvious but annoyingly accurate statements here:
1. Building your own business takes a LOT of energy, focus and motivation
2. Working on your business strategy is seriously hard if you’re not feeling in tip top, A1 condition
It’s these things along with the mahoosively positive benefits that you get from taking a decent break away from your business that make me such a holiday nag on the subject (and when I say ‘nag’ I’m talking about someone who pesters & badgers here; and not an old donkey that lugs saddle bags up long dusty hills every day!)
I get that there are always a million reasons why now isn’t the right time to take time off. But for every one of those reasons, I honestly think there’s a positive benefit that will be worth far more in the long and short run.
So, humour me and gift yourself a break for 6 minutes to watch this week’s vlog (Kylie’s going to kill me – I keep promising to keep these to 4 minutes but then I just get carried away. Again!) 🤷♀️
I’ve talked about 3 massive benefits to taking a decent break away from your business, and explained why breaks should be a mandatory part of your business strategy if you’re serious about growth (and about sanity!)
So please watch, and let me know if you agree, or whether you’re still going to fight it. Because then I’ll have to send you off to the naughty step for a while!
Of course, if you watch the video, agree with me completely but still have no clue how you’ll manage to take any time out of your business then take a look at the different ways I can support you here: https://taylory.co.uk/how-i-can-support/
